I stared at the email for a few minutes then trappped downloaded it to my kindle just in case they changed their minds. Another irk I have — and of course this happens in the book where I catch up to the author writing them — is that the epilogue of this book ended on a cliffhanger. It was a chaotic ride of sarcasm, pop culture references, sex, and magic bacon.

Atticus has tons of potential but I feel as if there’s a wall between this inner core and the way he behaves in public that not even the reader can see.
Atticus is his wish projection of himself. A snappy narrative voice. Old grandpappy goes after MUCH younger woman and wins her.
Try Asia, or South America. And we see plenty of dark times with action scene after oevin scene. Which is weird to me because if you want to keep an important side of your character completely hidden, why write in the first person? Trapped is the fifth installment in the Iron Druid Chronicles, but it actually starts twelve years after the events in Tricked.

Training her on what? Ever see the movie “American Beauty”? She is level-headed, witty, decisive, and can defend herself. This is a wise decision though I sense some short stories fit in thereas Granuaile needed those years for training and there’s a limit to how much you can interrupt that or drag it out in a series. She has always proven herself to be a caring and fearless woman and that was on even greater display in this novel. Jan 14, Eric rated it liked it Recommends it for: With Bacchus and the Olympians in general, Atticus was on the defensive most of the time and his actions were just to protect himself and those he cared about. Atticus has a thing for Granuaile, but as her teacher, he never acted. At least some of my trouble with the book is that Granuaile’s “binding” is a lengthy affair something like three months and the two have to pull this off after it gets out that Atticus is still alive.
